Roy E. Inger, 81, died Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, in St. Luke's Hospital after long illness. Services: 3 p.m. Thursday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, with military and Masonic rites. The Rev. William Harnish will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 tonight at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home and after 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Genevieve; a son, Richard and wife Bonnie of Robins; two brothers, Aaron of Marion and Wilbur of Scranton, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Roy Jr.; and a daughter Linda Lou.

Ray was born Nov. 16, 1916, in Waterville, the son of Aaron and Ruth Hermen Inger. He married Bertha Genevieve Hawkins on Aug. 28, 1937, in Charles City. Roy was an inspector at Allis Chalmers for 19 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Marion Masonic Lodge 6 and served in the army during World War II.

Military rites conducted by American Legion Hanford Post 5.

Memorial donations may be given to American Heart Association.
