Aaron J. Inger, 86, Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, October 31, 2004, at his home after a long illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 3 at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where there will also be military rites. Rev. Rick Tresnak will officiate. Burial is at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the chapel after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; three daughters, Bonnie (Patrick) Canfield of Shueyville, Judy (Neal) Baty, of Coggon and Susan Kainz of Marion; and a son, Roger of Robins. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Matt (Denise) Baty and Aaron Kainz.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steven "Louie", and two brothers, Roy and Wilbur.

Aaron was born November 10, 1917, in Waterville, the son of Aaron and Emma Herman Inger. He married Ruth E. Hawkins August 17, 1946, in Decorah.

Aaron worked at Rockwell-Collins for 27 years, retiring in 1980. Aaron was an avid pilot and also the owner and operator of Inger Welding Service for many years. He was a member of Marion American Legion Post No. 298 and proudly served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
