Lansing, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. John R. Johnson, 90, will be held at 12 noon Saturday at the Lutheran Church, the Rev. J.K. Preus officiating, and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hazel Beardmore, at English Bench, where she had received care since the death of her husband in 1940.

As Sophie Haroldson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Haroldson, she was born in Norway Oct. 2, 1861. She came to this community with the family when a small child. She was married at the West Paint Creek Church to John R. Johnson Dec. 2, 1882. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson farmed for some years, then retired to live in Lansing until his death.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Beardmore, and Mrs. Harry Hislop, Clinton; two sons, Rolland of Minneapolis and Bert of Everett, Wash. and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Jesse Rush, and son Herman preceded her in death.
