Waukon, Ia. - Mrs. Thomas Ellingson, 79, lifelong resident of Allamakee County, died June 25, at her home following a six-month illness.

Funeral services were to be held at St. John's Lutheran Church Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Iowa River Cemetery.

Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hanson, early settlers in Hanover Township, where she was born Feb. 11, 1873. She was married April 18, 1894, to Thomas Ellingson, who died several years ago. Their entire married life was spent on the farm until 14 years ago when they moved to Waukon.

Surviving are three sons, Harris, Decorah, Carl at home, and Lester of Hanover Township; three daughters, Mabel at home, Mrs. Arthur Mardson, Union Prairie Township, and Mrs. Carl Berg, Waukon; and 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was the last survivor of a family of eight.
