Roy Hammond Passes On At His Home in Missouri

Roy Hammond, 50, a former resident of this community, passed away at his home near Jerico Springs, Mo., November 10, 1943 at two a.m. The family had moved recently from Wooster, Arkansas, to their new home near Jerico Springs.

Mr. Hammond was born in Allamakee county March 11, 1893, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hammond, and grew to manhood in this community. He was married to Ruth Bray April 23, 1927, and to them were born five children.

Mrs. Hammond passed away in Arkansas March 9, 1943. The surviving children are Marian Helene, 15; Marvin Dean, 14; Milo Eugene, 10; Merle Wayne, 9, and Milton Duana, 3. Also surviving are a brother, Paul, of Oelwein, and a sister Mrs. Elmer Eberling, of Luana.
