Thelma L. Olson Sandford, age 83, a resident of Thornton Manor in Lansing for the past ten years, passed away Friday, January 2, 2004, at Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa.

Thelma was born November 9, 1919, in Soldiers Grove, Wis., the daughter of Tom and Lena(Gald) Olson.

Thelma is survived by two children, Patricia (Gregory) Wade of Muskego, Wis. and Charles (Brenda) Hiam of Ferryville, Wis.; and by two granddaughters, Ashley Lena Wade and Karie Sue Hiam; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Willie, Sam, and Monroe Olson, and by two sisters, Ada Stearns and Mable Pease.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 5, at the Utica Lutheran Church, Paster Gary Wees officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Dommersnaes Bertram Family Funeral Home, Gays Mills, is assisting with arrangements.
