James E. Annis, 53, of Waukon died Saturday, Feb 10, 1996 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon where he had been a resident since December.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15 at Martin Funeral Home. The Right Rev. Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg will officiate and burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Born July 1, 1942 in Winona, MN, he was the son of Earl and Lillian (Knopf) Annis. James attended schools in the Winona area. He lived in Decorah about three years and had lived in Waukon since 1978. James formerly worked as a trucker for North American Van Lines.

Surviving is an aunt, Betty Kaple of Panama City, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
