JOHN KOONTZ - died 1885

John Koontz of Rossville, a young man aged 27 years, died at his home in that place a week ago last Monday, of consumption, from which he had been afflicted for the past 2 or 3 years. His funeral took place last Wed. under the direction of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Rossville of which he was a member. Several of the members of the order in Waukon also attended the funeral. Mr. Koontz was a gentleman who had many warm friends whose heartfelt sympathy has been with him throughout his long illness & they sincerely mourn his death.
