WILLIAM G. YOUNG
William G. Young was born June 28th, 1864, at Waukon, a son of Mr. Wm. Young and Elizabeth Merrill, and passed away Sunday, Jan. 29th at his home in New Albin. At the age of 2 he moved with his parents to the Lansing vicinity where he received his education. On April 13, 1887, he was married to Mary Elizabeth Bulman who preceded him in death Feb. 26th, 1928. They farmed southwest of Lansing for many years and on Oct. 6th, 1930 he married Annie Miller. They made their home here until moving to New Albin about seven years ago. She survives as do two sons, Clarence and Lloyd Young, and one daughter, Mrs. Anna Piquet, all of Auburndale, Wis., and vicinity. Other survivors include twin brothers, Warren and Walter, of Perth, N. D.; two half sisters, Mrs. Florence Purrington, Waukon; Mrs. Charles Greiser, New Albin, and one half brother, Richard Young, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mr. Young was a well known farmer and stock buyer during his active years and a life long member of the Methodist Church where he served as Sunday School superintendent for a number of years.
The funeral services will be held this (Wednesday) afternoon from the Schneider Funeral Chapel, in Lansing, with Rev. F. H. Giles, Marshfield, Wis., officiating with a private service at the home in New Albin preceding it. Special songs will be rendered by Rev. and Mrs. Giles with Miss Evelyn Lenz serving as pianist. Casket bearers are Ed. J. Meyer, Chas. Greiser, Theodore Weipert, Clayton Cardin, Albert Schafer and Richard Brawley. Interment in Oak Hill cemetery.
