Ethel Mae Gordon

Funeral services for Ethel Gordon, 73, were held Saturday, April 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville. The Reverend Reuben Tjaden officiated. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Ethel Mae Gordon, daughter of Robert and Dora (Eppens) Gordon, was born July 5, 1911 in Postville. She died Wednesday, April 10, at Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital in Decorah.
She attended the Postville School. During her early years she took care of her mother at home. After her mother's death she and her father moved to Waukon in 1943. In 1978 Ethel became a resident of Oneota Village in Decorah.

At various times in her life, Ethel had been employed as a practical nurse and as a cook in the area hospitals.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Willard. Surviving is a brother, Walter, Baldwin Park, CA.
