Benton Gordon Passes On; Was Veteran of 2 Wars

Fred Gordon received word this morning that his brother, Benton, aged 71, had passed away in Milwaukee Tuesday evening. He had been ill in a hospital for 10 weeks. The funeral will be Friday in Milwaukee.

A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Angus Gordon, Benton was born on Henderson Prairie and grew to manhood here. He was a veteran of two wars, having served in the Spanish-American war and in World War I. He served for 18 months in France in the latter conflict.

He is survived by his wife, a son who lives in Sioux City, and a daughter living in Iowa City.
