Funeral services were held April 30 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, for Fred J. Reincke, who passed away April 27. The Rev. Richard Housman was in charge of the rites; burial was in Postville cemetery.

Fred J. Reincke, son of Carl and Marie Schultz Reincke, was born January 10, 1890, near Postville, Iowa. He was confirmed March 29, 1904 at St. Paul Lutheran Church by Pastor E. Bockelmann. He passed away Saturday, April 27, 1968, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Postville at the age of 78 years.

On February 18, 1914, he was united in marriage to Louise Appel. To this union were born six children; Laverna, Mrs. Melbert Schopp, Castalia; Mardella, Mrs. Wilbur Reckward, Postville; Delbert, Evansdale, Iowa; Arno, Luana; Arlene, Mrs. Marlin Lundt, Decorah, and M/Sgt Fredrick, Travers Air Force Base, California.

He lived all of his life in the Postville vicinity and the last twenty years in Postville.

He is survived by his wife and six children, 15 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary Krogman of Postville. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles and Arthur; three sisters, Eda Meyer, Anna Saueresig, and Amelia Willman; and one granddaughter.
