Mrs. Catherine Bechtel, living near Lansing, passed away at her home Monday afternoon of neuralgia in the head. She was 84 years old.

Deceased was born in Germany and came to this place, living on a farm on Lansing Ridge ever since. She had been a resident of this county for over 60 years. Three sons and three daughters survive, also 25 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Her husband passed away about 19 years ago. The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon, Rev. A. Kegel officiating.

Notes: Her given name on gravestone is spelled Katherine, and her dates are engraved 1827-1910, which is INCORRECT to death year.
