David M. Beggs, pastor of the Congregational church, in charge of the final rites. Burial was made in the Hampton cemetery.

Mr. Schutte was a salesman by occupation, and had lived at Des Moines, and Sterling, Illinois, and moved to Hampton about two years ago. He was an active member of the Sterling Presbyterian church and served his term as a deacon of that church.
Besides his wife and son, he leaves to mourn his passing, his father and step-mother, both of Postville, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Meyer, of Ossian; and Miss Doris Schutte, of Postville; also four brothers, Robert Schutte, Charles Schutte, Harry Schutte and Reuben Schutte, all of Monona.
