DANIEL T. SNITKER, Jr. 1900-1987

Daniel T. Snitker, Jr. died Sept. 12, 1987 at Northgate Manor Care Center. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 15, 1:30 p.m. at Salem United Church of Christ, rural Waukon. Dr. Elsa Marsland officiated. Interment was in the Salem Cemetery. Martin's was in charge of arrangements.

Daniel T. Snitker, Jr., the son of Henry and Augusta Klepper Snitker was born November 1, 1900 in Allamakee county, Iowa. He married Elsie Flage February 7, 1922. The couple had 4 children. They farmed and were lifetime area residents. He received his education in local schools. He was a member of Farm Bureau, and the Salem United church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie in 1972, a daughter Evelyn and 2 brothers, Arthur and Leo. Surviving are 3 sons: Calvin, Waukon, Bernard, Waukon and Nathan, Viola, IL; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Mabel) Winke, Waukon, Mrs. Leona Duvel, Waukon and Gertrude Snitker, Waukon.

Pallbearers were Bruce, Kirk, Richard Snitker, Steve Rubendall, Crag Wenthe and Duane Wood.
