Albert J. Arndt, 81, formerly of New Albin, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, in a La Crescent, Minn., nursing home where he had lived the past four years.

He was born March 11, 1895, in Jefferson Township, Houston County, Minn., to Rudolph and Mary (Graber) Arndt. He married Julia Welch in 1933, and they farmed in the area.

Survivors are a brother, Rudolph of New Albin; and two sisters, Mrs. Sylvester (Ethel) Stoltz of Caledonia, Minn., and Mrs. Pearl Fink of New Albin.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1959, and by two sisters.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in New Albin Chapel. Rev. Clyde Lee will officiate and burial will be in New Albin Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Potter-Haugen Funeral Home, Caledonia, from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, and at the chapel after 4 p.m. Friday, and before the services Saturday.
