Mrs. James (Grace) Donahue, 70, of New Albin, died Sunday, Aug. 15, in a La Crescent, Minn., nursing home.

She was born Nov. 20, 1905, in Allamakee County, to Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Ryan. She married James Donahue May 23,1937, in St Joseph’s Catholic Church, New Albin, and they farmed in the Jefferson Township (Houston County, Minn.) area.

Survivors are her husband; two sons, Lawrence of New Albin and Dale of Rochester, Minn; two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Mary Ann) Hartley of La Crosse, and Marguerite of Woodstock, Ill.; six grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence of New Albin, and Earl of Pennsylvania; and five sisters, Mrs. Charles (Marian) Hartley of Dorchester, and Mrs. Pete (Loretta) Spinner, Mrs. Gilman (Esther) Beeler, Mrs. Marguerite Gilbert, and Gladys Ryan, all of New Albin.

Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a m. in the New Albin Funeral Chapel, and at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Rev. Linus Rasing will officiate and burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery. (St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Houston County, Minn.)

Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 3 p.m. Tuesday, with a Rosary to be at 8 p.m.

Steffen Funeral Home, Caledonia, Minn., is in charge of arrangements.
