Mrs. Walter Paus, 81, of New Albin, died Saturday, Jan. 4, at a La Crosse, WI, hospital.

Born May 5, 1893, in Allamakee County, the former Emma Wiemerslage was daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt Wiemerslage. She married Walter Paus June 17, 1915, in Eitzen, MN. She and her husband farmed near Dorchester until 1965 when they moved to New Albin.

Survivors are her husband; one son, Raymond of Dorchester; two daughters, Roma Paus, and Mrs. Albert (Norma) Fruechte, both of New Albin; one brother, Henry Wiemerslage of Caledonia, MN; three sisters, Mrs. Leona Paus of Eau Claire, WI, Mrs. Alma Fetch of Glendale, CA, and Mrs. Edna Duxbury of St. Paul, MN; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Eitzen. Rev. Lloyd Fried will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the New Albin Funeral Chapel, and at the church Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m.
