Herman Schuldt, 85, New Albin, died Wednesday (Jan. 29) at Oak Forest Rest Home, Onalaska, Wis. He farmed in the Freeburg, MN, area until retiring here in 1960.

The son of William and Elizabeth (Linde) Schuldt, he was born in Jefferson Township, Houston County, Minn., Jan. 25, 1890. On March 18, 1914, he married Emma Meyer. She has died.

Survivors are three sons, Wilbert and Alton, both of New Albin, and Harold of Ferryviile, Wis.; four daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Melinda) Kohlmeyer of Caledonia, Minn., Niedfeldt of Bangor, Wis.; 25 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Barencher of Churchs Ferry, N.D., Mrs. Elizabeth Schuemann of Reeder, N.D., and Mrs Anna Aldrich of Helena, Mont. Three brothers and two sisters have died.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Albin, the Rev. Clyde Lee officiating. Burial will be in New Albin Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday afternoon and evening at Potter-Haugen Funeral Home, Caledonia, then at the church Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of services.
