Gladys V. Webb, 72, of New Albin, died on Friday, Nov. 16, 1984, in St. Francis Medical Center, La Crosse, WI, of kidney failure which resulted from a heart attack two weeks earlier.
She was born on Feb. 20, 1912, in Marquette, IA, the daughter of Ralph and Minnie (Mathews) Lewis. She was a graduate of Marquette High School and moved to New Albin in 1949.
She married Lyle E. Webb in 1937. He preceded her in death in 1957.
She is survived by a son, Lee of Bartlett, IL; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Dresselhaus of New Albin, and Jean Webb of Green Bay, WI; eight grandchildren; and a niece.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, New Albin. Rev. Tom Mattson officiated and burial was in the New Albin cemetery.
The Haugen-Roble Funeral Home, Caledonia, was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Cleon Sires, Myron Krambeer, Edward Colsch, Edmund Carroll, Edgar Wuennecke and Bernard Dougherty.
