Joe Ryan passed away at St. Francis Hospital, La Crosse, WI, Friday, June 7, 1963. Death was due to a stroke.

Deceased, a son of the late Dennis and Mary Ann (Hines) Ryan, was born on West Ridge, Sept. 18, 1888. At St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Albin, Nov. 1935, he was married to Joy Lahey who survives, as do two brothers, Roy of La Crosse and Leonard of Chillicothe, MO. He was a veteran of World War I, and for many years had been an employee of the Milwaukee Railroad, retiring several years ago. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Edgar Kolfenbach officiating, assisted by Fr. Levenhagen of this place, and Fr. Ralph Meyer of Waterloo. Burial was made in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Casketbearers were Earl Welsh, Lawrence Burroughs, Leon May, Jim Imhoff, James Donahue and William Kelly.
