Sigurd W. Meyer, 74, passed away at Veterans Hospital in Iowa City, Apr. 28, 1977.

He was born Sept. 10, 1902, in New Albin, to Frederick C. and Maria (Timmerman) Meyer.

He was married at Caledonia, MN, June 10, 1946, to Ruth Monson of Spring Grove, MN.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Fredrick of Marseilles, IL; two daughters, Maglei (Mrs. James Rethwisch) of Fallbrook, CA, and Kathleen of Ames; two brothers, Edward and Paul; two sisters, Minna (Mrs. R.A. Jordan), and Mrs. Anna Pohlman, all of New Albin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Martha (Mrs. William Gade); and two brothers, Albert and Alfred.

He was a World War II veteran.

Rethwisch and family, Lansing.
