Henry E. Vonderohe, 79, of New Albin, died in a La Crosse, WI, hospital on Sunday, June 26.

He was born Aug. 5, 1897, in Allamakee County to Henry and Emma (Bisping) Vonderohe. He married Marie Hahn on Sept. 26, 1934, in New Albin. He farmed in Union City Township until 1961, when he moved to New Albin. He sold fire and auto insurance after retiring from the farm.

Survivors are his widow; two sons, Donald and Ronald, both of New Albin; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Emil of Villa Park, IL, and Carl and Albert of New Albin; and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Krueger and Mrs. Ella Reinke, also of New Albin.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, at St. John's United Church of Christ, Wheatland. Rev. James Parker will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Potter-Haugen Funeral Home of Caledonia, MN, is in charge of arrangements.
