George H. Marschall, 84, La Crescent, MN, died Saturday, Jul 2, in a La Crosse, WI, hospital.

He was born to Herman and Anna Marschall on May 14, 1893, in New Albin. He married Lydia Verthein on Dec. 19, 1917, in New Albin.

He was the owner of a service station in Hokah, MN, until he retired in 1965.

Survivors are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Harriette) Herman of Isanti, MN; one brother, Alvin, of Chicago, IL; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at St. John's United Reformed Church of Christ. Rev. Calvin Hay will officiate and burial will be in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Sletten-McKee-Hanson Funeral Home, La Crosse, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m., and in the church on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the service. Memorials may be given to the Wisconsin Lung Association.
