Sgt. Ralph Allen Hertzfeldt Sr., 34, of Topeka, KS, died Sunday, Jan. 8, in Turkey.

Sgt. Hertzfeldt was born Aug. 26, 1932, in Winona, MN, the son of Mrs. Grace Hertzfeldt Wiseman, and he married Rita Spinner May 6, 1956. He had been in the Air Force for 16 years.

In addition to his widow and mother, both living in Topeka, he is survived by a son, Ralph Allen Jr., a stepdaughter, Jean Olson, and two daughters, Suellen May and Doris Grace, all of Topeka; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Jane Norby of Topeka, Mrs. Joan Cavinder of Peace AFB, N.H., and Mrs. Mavis Thompson of Barstow, CA; one brother, Gerald of Fremond, NE; and his grandmother, Mrs. Dora Flatten of Houston, MN.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in New Albin, Rev. Edgar Kolfenhach officiating, and burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The rosary was set at 8 p.m. Monday at the Burke Funeral Home in Lansing.
