A young New Albin man, 26-year-old Kenneth E. Imhoff, died of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning early Sunday morning a few miles north of New Albin.
He was found in his car. Houston County medical examiner, Dr. Phillip Utz, ruled the death accidental asphyxiation.
He was born Oct. 7, 1949, in La Crosse, WI, to Lawrence and Rita (Whalen) Imhoff. he was a 1967 graduate of St. George High School in Lansing.
He was married in Sept. 1971 to Marlene Moore in New Albin. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was employed by Tri-State Feeds at the time of his death.
Survivors include his widow; three sons, Brian, Nathan and Damian, all at home; his parents; four brothers, Donald and James, both of La Crosse, WI, and Gerald and Tom, both of New Albin; four sisters, Mrs. Steve (Angela) Taylor of Rochester, MN, and Mary Ann, Connie Sue and Michelle of New Albin; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Frances Whalen of New Albin.
