Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 25, for Lansing resident Robert Clark Steele, 43, who died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1992, in a traffic accident in Sidney, NE. The 11 a.m.services were conducted by the Rt. Rev. Monsignor Ed Lechtenberg at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waukon. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He was born Aug. 25, 1949, in Waukon, to Ralph "Philly" and Irene Steele, and attended St. Patrick's school in Waukon. He was a member of St. pat's church and a construction worker, having formerly been employed by Carlson Construction.

Survivors are his parents; four sisters, Ann Kuchenbecker of Prairie du Chien, WI, Maggie Walker of Des Moines, Lori Ashbacher of Lansing, and Vicki Vick of Decorah; and four brothers, Ralph of Onalaska, WI, Ronnie and Ricky, both of Clinton, MA, and Randy of Tennessee. Also surviving are 19 nieces and nephews, and one great-niece.

Casket bearers were Ralph, Randy, Ronnie, Ricky and John Steele, and Todd Kuchenbecker.
