Clarence C. Schaller, 83, formerly of Reno, Minn., died Friday, Jan. 22, 1993, at the Thornton Manor Health Care Facility in Lansing. He was born Sept. 29, 1909, in the town of Crooked Creek, rural Freeburg, Minn., to Frank and Amelia (Lubbe) Schaller. On June 20, 1945, he married Esther Hahn, who preceded him in death in 1981. He worked for the Milwaukee Railroad for 12 years, and then worked as a machine operator for the Trane Company, La Crosse, for 23 years, before retiring in 1974.

He is survived by two sons, Ken (Kerry) and Gary, all of Reno, Minn.; three granddaughters, Amelia, Molly and Betsy; three sisters, Florence Hahn, Selma Welper, and Marie (Ervin) Veglahn, all of La Crosse; a brother, Bill (Blanche) of Freeburg, Minn.

Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 25, 1993, at 11 a.m. at the New Albin Funeral Chapel, New Albin. The Rev. C. Philip Williams will officiate. Burial will be in New Albin City Cemetery. Friends may call today at the New Albin Funeral Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Monday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home of Caledonia, Minn., is in charge of arrangements.
