David J. "Snydley" Mauss, 41, died Wednesday, March 30, 1995 in Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, WI. He was born May 24, 1953 in La Crosse to Bernard and Lucille (Troendle) Mauss. David was a 1971 graduate of St. George High School, Lansing, and was employed at Northern Engraving in Lansing.

Survivors include his parents; four sisters, Mary (Jim) Benson of Elmhurst, IL, Doris (Charles) Berns of Harpers Ferry, Pat (Jim) Wellendorf of Lansing, and Rita (Jim) Sanchez of La Crosse; two brothers, Larry (Terri) of Stoddard, WI, and Dale (Val) of New Albin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today in the New Albin Town Hall/Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Albin. Memorials may be given to the New Albin Rescue Squad. The Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, is assisting the family with arrangements.
