Harold Albert Riehm, 64, died Tuesday, March 25, at his home in New Albin, of an apparent heart attack.

He was born Feb. 1, 1911, in Britt, IA, to Fred and Jenny L. (Manuel) Riehm. He married Thelma Vernetta Meyer April 4, 1948, in Ludlow Township near Waukon.

he was employed in road construction work, and upon his return from military service was a partner with J.P. Strother in the construction firm of Strother and Riehm in Eldon, IA. In 1954 he moved to New Albin where he operated the Harold Riehm Construction Co., which in 1970, became Riehm Construction Co.

Survivors are his widow, Thelma; three sons, Timothy, Harry and Thomas Mark, all of New Albin; a sister, Mrs. Willard (Bernice) Eisenmann of Forest City, IA; and three brothers, Curtis of Garner, IA, Paul of Britt, and James of Eldon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Fred.

Military services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Grace United Methodist Church, New Albin. Rev. C. Kent Weaver will officiate and burial will be in the New Albin City Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday morning at the New Albin Funeral Chapel of Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home from 10 a.m., with a prayer service to be at 7:30 p.m at the church Saturday from noon until the service.
