Harold J. Rouster, 46, shot and killed himself Saturday, May 4, at his New Albin home, according to Dr. Robert G. Love, Allamakee County Deputy Coroner.

Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the New Albin Community Building, Rev. J.J. McBride officiating, and burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery with military rites by the New Albin Honor Guard.

He was born Jan. 20, 1928, in New Albin, and retired after 20 years of service in the Army. He never married.

Surviving are his father, peter of New Albin; two brothers, Cecil of New Albin, and Irvin of Pine City, Minn.; four sisters, Mrs. Norman Wiemerslage of New Albin, Mrs. Philamine Schutz and Mrs. Robert (Evangeline) Schellsmidt, both of Caledonia, Minn., and Mrs. Blaine (Helen) Gaare of Mabel, Minn.
