Arvid Sadler, 62, of Hot Springs, AR, and formerly of Lansing, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, in Hot Springs.
He is survived by a son, Arvid, of Sacramento, CA; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Shirley) Schmol of Mansfield, OH, Mrs. Ordell (Rita) Torgerson of Canton, MN, and Mrs. Gene (Betty) Schwirtz of Caledonia, MN; nine grandchildren; a brother, Glenn of Vallejo, CA; and three sisters, Mrs. Erwin (Alura) Gruber of Lansing, Mrs. Ruth Clinton of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Marvin (Beulah) Sires of Waukon.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, with the Rev. John Hall officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Union City Township.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

LANSING, Iowa – Arvid E. Sadler, 62, of Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of Lansing, died Monday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home in Lansing where friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Union City, Iowa.
Mr. Sadler was a World War II Navy veteran.
Surviving are a son, Arvid Jr. of Sacramento, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Shirley) Schmoll of Mansfield, Ohio, Mrs. Ordell (Rita) Torgerson of Canton, Minn., and Mrs. Gene (Betty) Schwirtz of Caledonia, Minn.; nine grandchildren; a brother, Glenn of California, and three sisters, Mrs. Erwin (Alura)[sic] Gruber of Lansing, Mrs. Ruth Clinton of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Marvin (Beulah) Sires of Waukon, Iowa.
