Fred C. Lager, 76, New Albin, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, in St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN.

He was born Dec. 10, 1905, in New Albin to William and Johanna (Donovan) Lager. he married Maida Gantenbein on Sept. 7, 1927, in Winona, MN.

Prior to his retirement, he was an automobile dealer.

Survivors are his wife; three sons, Gerald J. and William F., both of St. peter, MN, and Lawrence J. of Lansing, MI; one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Rosemary) Lochner of Prairie du Chien, WI; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Rita Ambrose of Waterloo, and Mrs. Gretta Gee of Lansing.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Albin. The Rev. Linus Rasing will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the New Albin Funeral Chapel Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 8 p.m.

The Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, is in charge of arrangements.
