Mrs. Ida Renk, 89, New Albin, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, in Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, WI.

She was born Sept. 4, 1889, in Union City Township, Allamakee County, to Herman and Lisette (Koeppemann) Kurk. She married August Renk on Dec. 21, 1910, and they farmed in Union City Township.

For the last three and a half years, she has lived in New Albin with her son, Alvin.

In addition to her son, survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Olga) Vonderohe of New Albin, and Mrs. William (Amanda) Kruse of Dorchester; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 2, 1938, and by two grandchildren, five brothers and two sisters.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in United Church of Christ, Wheatland, rural New Albin. The Rev. James Parker will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the New Albin Chapel Friday after 4 p.m., and at the church Satruday from 1 p.m. until the services.

Potter-Haugen Funeral Home, Caledonia, MN, is in charge of arrangements.
