Roy B. Ryan, 88, of 421 S. Sixth St., La Crosse, WI, formerly of the New Albin area, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1982, in a La Crosse hospital.

He was born Sept. 8, 1893, in Waukon, to Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Ryan.

Roy farmed for over 40 years in the New Albin area until his retirement in 1958, when he moved to La Crosse.

Survivors are his wife, the former Margaret Collins; seven daughters, Mrs. Wilbur (Anna Marie) Henley of Rogersville, MO, Mrs. Frank (Beatrice) Kremer of Alexandria, KY, Mrs. Cyril (Matilda) Becker and Mrs. John (Gayle) Schmitz, both of Caledonia, MN, Mrs. Mary Lethbridge of Northfield, MN, Mrs. James (Patricia) Imhoff of La Crescent, MN, and Mrs. Fred (Heloise) Thery of Coon Rapids, MN; two sons, William J. of Colorado Springs, CO, and Earl J. of Stockton, CA; 44 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren.

Services will be on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in Blaschke Funeral Home, La Crosse, and at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral, La Crosse. The Rev. J. Floyd Dwyer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in New Albin.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 8 p.m.
