Notes:
'Woodmansee' records the deaths on August 30, 1871, of an 8 y/o son and 10 y/o daughter of Mrs. Paul Schisler, and their burial in Mt. Hope cemetery, Union City twp. 'Woodmansee' does not give their first names.

The 1870 U.S. census, Lansing twp., Allamakee co.:
Paul Shisler, age 50
A.E., F, age 31
George, M, age 14
Isah, F, age 12
John, M, age 10
Gemina, F, age 8
William, M, age 7
Albert, M, age 1 (the only family member born in Iowa)

If the ages given in the 'Woodmansee' record are correct, the children were likely William and Gemina.

The Lansing paper may have published more details about the children's deaths.
