Waterville- Martin Jacobson, one of the most prominent farmers of Allamakee county, died on Saturday evening at his home north of Waterville, after a short illness of influenza and pneumonia.

He was born at the family home here, Feb. 23, 1864, where he resided until his death.

On Jan. 9, 1890, Mr. Jacobson was married to Miss Emma Satrong, and to this union eight children were born, who with the widow survive. The children are: Bertha, Albert, Oscar, and Carlton, at home, Mrs. O. M. Busness of Mankato, Minn., Theodore of Minneapolis, Mrs. George Sorenson of Waterville, and Miss Edna Jacobson of Chicago; also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. I. Johnson of Waterville, Mrs. Ole Bjerke of Minneapolis, Mrs. Edward Erickson of West Salem, Wis., an Miss Nettie Jacobson of Decorah, Ia.

The funeral was held from the family home on Tuesday forenoon to the East Paint Creek church, Rev. J. B. Unseth officiating, with interment in the family lot near by.
