Dubuque, Iowa, Aug. 18 - Mrs. Granger, wife of Judge C.T. Granger, of the Iowa supreme court, arrived at the Dubuque sanitarium four weeks ago for treatment. She failed gradually and on Sunday her family were notified of her dangerous condition. Yesterday she was told she could not live 24 hours. She said she wanted to die in her own house. A special train was made up and she was conveyed to Waukon, with her family accompanying her. She reached Waukon at 10:20 and at 11 o'clock was dead.

Notes: She was Charles Trumbull Granger's second wife. She is buried in Oakland Main, lot 426.

The wife of Judge C. T. Granger died at their home in Waukon, Sunday evening. She had never recovered from an attack of la grippe, and was at Dubuque for treatment. On Saturday, being informed that she could not live 24 hours; she said she wanted to die at home. A special train was obtained and they reached Waukon at 10:20 Sunday night, at 11:00 the lady was dead. Mrs. Granger had a wide circle of friends and was honored and respected by all. The Judge and his children will have the sympathy of his Clayton county friends.
