Waukon- Funeral services for Mrs. Olaus L. Nelson, 74, lifelong resident of Allamakee county, who died at the home in Waterloo township Thursday, following an extended illness, were held from Martin Brothers funeral parlors, Waukon, to the Big Canoe Lutheran church, Waterloo township, Sunday afternoon. The Rev. P. F. Kjorlaug, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church, Waukon, officiated at the funeral home, and the Rev. A. W. Hexom officiated at the church. Burial was made in the nearby cemetery.

Anna Marie Osmundson was born Oct. 2, 1871, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jermiah Osmundson. On June 17, 1918, she was married to Olaus L. Nelson, and she since resided on the farm on which she died.

Surviving are a son, Edgar Nelson, Decorah, Ia.; three adopted daughters, Mrs. Alfred Naley, Decorah, Mrs. Edward Kosbau, Waukon, and Mrs. Lynas Abel, Monona, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. William Peterson, Waukon, Mrs. Sander Anfinson and Mrs. Albert Larson, both of Decorah; two brothers, Edward Osmundson, Burr Oak, Ia., and Ben Osmundson, Decorah; and nine grandchildren. Her husband died June 10, 1939.
