Mary F. Cota, age 89, of Evansdale, Iowa died at home on Friday, November 20, 2015. She was born September 25, 1926 in Monona, Iowa, daughter of John and Susan (O'Hara) Grady. She married John Kaeser on March 1, 1944. They later divorced. She married Donald Cota on June 26, 1967 in Decorah, Iowa. He died in 1976. Mary lived in the Harpers Ferry-Waukon, Iowa area until 1988 when she moved to Evansdale. She was employed with Northern Engraving in Waukon for 15 years.

Mary is survived by her son, John (Diana) Kaeser of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and her daughter, Barbara Points of Naples, Florida; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandson in addition to several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald; five brothers, Cyril, Sylvester, Leo, Daniel, and Jim Grady; and a sister, Marguerite.

Visitation for Mary Cota will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, November 23 with a Legion of Mary rosary at 4 p.m. at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Funeral services will be held on November 24 at the St. Ann and Joseph Catholic Church with burial in St.Joseph Paint Rock Cemetery, both in Harpers Ferry, Iowa.
