Waukon- Funeral services for Mrs. Gilbert Jeglum, 71, lifelong resident of the Old East Paint Creek vicinity, will be held from the home, east of Waukon, to the Old East Paint Creek church Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. W. C. Johnson will officiate, and burial will be in the nearby cemetery. Mrs. Jeglum died in the General Hospital Saturday, where she was taken after she suffered a stroke in a Waukon café.

As Julia Rema, she was born Oct. 28, 1874, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Rema, on a farm in Center township. She was married to Gilbert Jeglum on Nov. 16, 1883, and they made their home on the farm on which she has since resided.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Hausman, Waukon, Mrs. Theodore Anderson, Postville, and Miss _nez Jeglum, La Crosse, Wis.; two sons, James, at home, and LeRoy, of Center township; a sister, Mrs. Henrietta Evanson, Center township; and two brothers, Leonard and John Rema, also of Center township. There are five grandchildren. She was preceded by a daughter, Mrs. Edward Groezinger, Waukon, who died in 1927.
