Sigurd Alvin Jordan, age 71, of 155 Mt. Gilead, Orangeburg, SC, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at his residence. A private service was held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Orangeburg, with Rev. John Ropp officiating.

Sigurd was born Oct. 4, 1930, in La Crosse, WI, a son of the late Rudolph and Minna (Meyer) Jordan. He was a graduate of Northwestern University and the Air Force Academy, and has since retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Jordan of Orangeburg; a daughter, Kirsten Thompson of Lexington; two sons, Brandon of Columbia, and Forrest of Washington state; a grandson, Garrett Jordan of Columbia; a brother, Edward Jordan of New Albin; and two sisters, Marie Ellis and Mavis Gray, both of Marshalltown, IA.
