WIlliam "Bill" M. Freilinger, 93, of New Albin, died Monday, Dec. 9, 1996 in Waukon. He was born April 2, 1903 in Houston County, MN.

He is survived by one son, Merlin Freilinger of New Albin; one daughter, Regina Zoll of Sumner, IA; three stepchildren, Carol, Betty, and LaVern; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Theresa Gander of Lansing; and Doretta Strub of Nekoosa, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wives; one grandchild; one brother, Matt; and four sisters, Rose, Hilda, Della and Clara.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, New Albin, with Fr. Herbert Tegeler officiating. Interment was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ray Burke, James Hammell, Earl Mitchell, Jerry Burke, Joel Sires, and George Smerud.

Funeral arrangements were by Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home.
