Sandy Kubitz, age 62, of New Albin, died Sunday morning, August 10, 2008, at her home. Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, at the New Albin Community Center, where friends may call until the time of services.

Sandy was born in Ohio February 8, 1946, to Jack "Junior" Caldwell and Grace Margaret Carney. She married Lawrence "Joe" Kubitz July 16, 1987, at Melbourne, FL. She enjoyed knitting, playing with her Gameboy, and sewing, in addition to being a homemaker.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Joe, of New Albin; eight children, Julie, Joey, Angie, Trina, Rosie, Frankie, Jenny and J.J., twenty-one grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing is assisting the family.
