After a continuous illness of some months with cancer of the liver, Mrs. Fred Riser passed away at her home in this township on the 17th, aged about 60 years. Her maiden name was Eva Margaret Schwartz and she was born in Ohio.

Her marriage to Mr. Fred Riser took place on March 10th, 1864. Thirteen children were born of this union, two of whom are dead. She also exercised a mother's care and watchfulness over several stepchildren.

Funeral was held Monday, interment being in Mays Prairie cemetery.
