MRS. AUGUST MEYERS, SR.
Lansing, Ia.-- Funeral services for Mrs. August Meyers, Sr., 89, will be held at the German Presbyterian church Saturday afternoon, with the Rev. Henry Marks officiating. Casket bearers will be six grandsons, Harry, Alfred, Leslie, and Franklin Meyers, Erwin Gruber and Harold Bellows.
Mrs. Meyers died Tuesday evening at the home of her son August, with whom she made her home.
As Katherine Dippmare, she was born in Germany May 16, 1849. She was married there to August Meyers June 23, 1872.
Mr. and Mrs. Meyers and five of their children came to America 50 years ago. They lived a year at Eitzen, Minn., and the remainder of the time in Lansing township.
Mr. Meyers died Jan. 1, 1927. Two sons also have died. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Bellows of La Crosse; Mrs. Charles Gruber of Lansing; two sons, August and Edward of Lansing; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Herman Freuchte of New Albin.
Mrs. Meyers was a member of the Evangelical church of New Albin. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.

Word was received here of the death Tuesday night of Mrs. Kathryn Meyer of Lansing, Ia. She was the mother of Mrs. Arthur Bellows, 1034 Denton street.
