Funeral services were held Monday, March 26, at the home and at St. Paul's Lutheran Church for Frank Reinhardt, 74, who passed away at his home. Saturday, March 24. The rites were in charge of Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig. Burial was in Postville cemetery.
Frank Reinhardt, son of Dietrich Reinhardt and Caroline Schlueter Reinhardt. was born September 8, 1876, in Clayton county, and departed this life March 24, 1951, at his home in Postville, aged 74 years.
Mr. Reinhardt was received into active membership in the Lutheran Church in the congregation at National, Iowa.
He was united in marriage with Claudina Busaker of Postville, on October 12, 1899. To this union five children were born, four of whom, survive the passing of their father.
Mr. Reinhardt was born in Clayton county and spent his entire life as a resident of this vicinity. He was active and interested in the affairs of his church and of the community. He served on the board of the Farmers Cooperative Society and the Postville Creamery.
Left to mourn his passing are his widow: four children: Lorence of Postville. Clarence of Postville, Harlan of Postville and Harvey of Castalia; one sister, Mrs. Fred Miene of Postville; one brother, Harry Reinhardt of Postville; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Mr. Reinhardt was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Arno; one grandchild; two sisters: Mrs. Louise Weller and Mrs. Helen Bugenhagen.
