Lois T. Russell, 88, of Marshall, MO, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at The Living Center in Marshall.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2014, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Matt Arni officiating. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com . Memorials may be made to family choice.

Born June 20, 1925, in Ossian, IA, Lois was the daughter of the late Gustave Russell and Julia Tollefson Russell. On October 11, 1943, in Mason City, IA, she married Grant James Marti of Waukon, IA and they later divorced. She then married Leslie Conner of Waukon, IA and they later divorced. She worked hard all of her life as a mother of 10 children, a farmer, bartender, food service worker and USDA meat inspector. Throughout her life she enjoyed hunting, crossword puzzles, game shows, nature and her family.

Lois is survived by her children, Cheryl Stussy of Norwalk, WI, Sarah Hovden of Buena Vista, CO, Kathryn Coughlin of Norwalk, WI, Nancy Jensen of Thief River Falls, MN, Norman Marti and wife Tonya of rural Marshall, MO, Helen Fischer of Independence, MO and Gloria Degenhardt and husband, Glen of Norwalk, WI;
several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillian Winters of Waukon, IA; one brother, Norman Russell of International Falls, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by one daughter, Marilyn Moen; two sons, Paul Marti and Phillip Marti; son-in-law, Jerry Jensen; two grandchildren; and five siblings, Richard Russell, Joyce Weber, James Russell, Mary Russell and Gladys Little.
