Funeral services were held Tuesday of last week for Roy L. Dunning, 64, at the West Clermont Church. Mr. Dunning passed away Saturday of last week following an accident.

Roy L. Dunning, the son of David and Eliza Dunning, was born on January 29, 1891 in Franklin township, Allamakee county. His death occurred on Saturday, September 24, 1955 at the Postville Hospital following accidental injury sustained the day before. His age at the time of death was 64 years, seven months and 25 days.

On February 15, l916 he was married to Abbie Smith at Postville, and to this union three children were born; Leslie of Luana, Mrs. Evelyn Linderbaum of Monona and Mrs. Marian Cook of Decorah.

He lived most of his life in the Luana vicinity. For the past seven years they have lived in Clermont, and for the six years previous to that they lived in Cresco.

They became members of West Clermont Lutheran Church on July 8, 1951.

He is survived by his wife, his son Leslie, and the two daughters, Evelyn and Marian and by five grandchildren.

He is buried in the Postville Cemetery.
