Waukon- James D. O'Meara, 68, died Thursday at his home in Waukon following a heart attack.

O'Meara was born in Hanover township Oct. 12, 1881, and lived his entire life in Allamakee county. He married Celia Fitzgerald April 28, 1914.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, James, U.S. Navy, Paul, Waterloo, Ralph, at home, and Clare, Oregon, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Alvin Crowley, Chicago, Mrs. Vincent Bloes, Waterloo, and Justine, at home.

Funeral services will be held Monday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover township.
